About Attorney Kirk Nystrom
Kirk Nystrom has practiced law in Topeka for over 40 years. He primarily assists clients with wills, powers of attorney, living wills, trusts, assistance after death, and estate planning. Kirk received both his B.B.A. and his Juris Doctor from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. While in business school, he received the distinction of being a School of Business Scholar and belonged to the Sagamore Honor Society. He received his advanced law degree, an LL.M. in Taxation, from the University of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC).
As a lecturer, Kirk regularly presents seminars to lawyers, churches, civic groups, and other professional organizations on estate planning, probate, and trusts. Kirk belongs to various organizations, including the Kansas Bar Association (Probate Sections), the Topeka Bar Association, the Topeka Probate Bar, and the Christian Legal Society.
He has served as an officer in various community organizations, including his church board, Boy Scouts of America, School Board Member, and Christian Neighbor Center (outreach to the disadvantaged). Karin, his wife of 44 years, is his legal secretary.
Kirk Nystrom’s Personal Biography
Kirk tries to make Christ the center of his legal practice. In Alaska, he spent three years as a self-supported missionary; where he helped build a Christian school.
Kirk and his family have been involved in various church ministries over the years. Kirk and his wife, Karin, have two grown children. Matthew, 42, is the Internet Pastor at Pure Heart Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Kirk's daughter, Anna, 40, is the Spanish translator/interpreter for the law office.
